DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will heat up for the next few days, reaching near or at record-high temperatures by the beginning of next week.A warm and dry pattern will settle in for the next seven days in Denver and across most of Colorado. Weather tonight: Clear, calm It will be clear and calm overnight on the Front Range, with the morning low in Denver dropping to 26 degrees. Weather tomorrow: Sunny, mild Temperatures will heat up to the mid-60s on Friday with sunshine, dry conditions and breezy winds. Looking ahead: 80 degrees next weekThe weather this weekend will be great for people who are spending time outside. Temperatures will hit the upper 60s on both Saturday and Sunday with dry weather on both days. Next week will be even warmer, with temperatures hitting 80 degrees for the first time this year on Tuesday. SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (KDVR) -- Five mountain lions were caught on Ring video roaming through a yard outside a Silverthorne home at night on April 1. The mountain lions nonchalantly stroll through like they own the place, which they technically sort of do, since it is their territory. The Ring customer was thousands of miles away when these felines pawed around the property, so they posed no danger to her. There was a happy ending to the “tail” of a German shepherd puppy who was abandoned outside of South Miami-Dade home.Speaking with 7News on Wednesday, homeowner Jennifer Thompson said she was disgusted after realzing the puppy had been deserted outside her home.“It’s really cruel what they did,” she said.The female puppy was dumped and left tied to Thompson’s fence with a 3-inch leash.Since 7News first aired her story on Wednesday evening, the station was swamped with calls offering to adopt the young dog.It did not take long. A 33-year-old Brockton man facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash in West Bridgewater appeared in court Thursday after authorities said he turned himself in.The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Route 24 when prosecutors said a Toyota Scion allegedly driven by Juan Leonardo Parra Altamirano changed lanes and made contact with a Honda Accord driven by 46-year-old Erpharo Gilbert of Raynham. Police said the impact pushed Gilbert’s vehicle into a median, where it struck a concrete barrier. A Ford Maverick pickup then struck the Accord, causing it to become fully engulfed in flames.The driver of the Ford was uninjured. Gilbert was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Federal officials are apologizing this week after federal agents mistakenly detained the wrong person during a training exercise in a Boston hotel Tuesday.In a statement, the FBI said the incident happened around 10 p.m. while the FBI’s Boston Division was aiding the Department of Defense in an exercise “to simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment.”“Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” the FBI said.A Boston police report said the incident happened at the Revere Hotel. 7NEWS sources said the person who was mistakenly detained is a pilot for Delta Air Lines.7NEWS spoke by phone with the Director of Communications for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command from Fort Bragg after the incident. “We would like to extend our deepest apology to the individual who was affected by the training exercise,” Lt.
