MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man was arrested on Friday, following an investigation that alleges he committed several acts against a physically helpless adult woman, according to Mechanicville Police. ST. LOUIS - Restoring power is still a huge issue Monday in the wake of the weekend storms. Ameren crews are still trying to get electricity back on for tens of thousands of customers on both sides of the river.Authorities with Ameren Missouri and Ameren Illinois both told FOX 2 that they have many crews working around the clock trying to restore power. However, at this point they can’t give a specific timeline as to when power should be completely restored on either side of the river.The agencies also shared that north and mid St. Louis County along with stretches of north St. Louis city were the hardest hit areas on the Missouri side of the river. In the metro east, Columbia seems to be the hardest hit area.Ameren Missouri has set up a staging area at Northwest Plaza in St. Ann. The search for a missing 8-year-old boy came to an end when the child was found safe Monday morning.Investigators on Sunday said Angel Chacon had last been seen around 3:30 p.m. Sunday while riding a bicycle near his apartment complex in the 200 block of Ramona Street.Angel had been left at the apartment with his 17-year-old brother. The boy was reported missing around 8:30 p.m. when his mother called 911, the Ventura Police Department stated in a news release. Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near Wellness PlaceHENDERSON, NV (July 3, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Galleria Drive.The incident occurred around 6:04 a.m., near Wellness Place.Per reports, the driver of a White Dodge Challenger struck a male pedestrian who was walking within a marked crosswalk.Upon impact, the driver fled the scene east on Galleria Drive.Paramedics arrived and transported the 71-year-old man to Sunrise Trauma Hospital in critical condition. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced him dead.Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
