Afternoon forecasts today and Wednesday will include only a 10% chance of a few spot showers with just a few hundredths of an inch measured. It will be followed by five days of dry weather. The wind coming from the northeast lowered the dew points a touch but it still feels a bit humid this afternoon. That's how simple this short-range forecast is.Taking a look at next week's outlook we see some promise from the Climate Prediction Center. Their precipitation outlook indicates that Central Texas could see a little more rain that normal. It's worth noting that the normal rainfall for all of October is 3.91". The tenth month is the second wettest month during any year. You would think this might translate in temperatures below normal, but, no. VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — President Joe Biden joined United Auto Workers strikers on a picket line Tuesday as their work stoppage against major carmakers hit day 12, a demonstration of support for organized labor apparently unparalleled in presidential history.“Stick with it,” he told them, exchanging fist bumps with grinning picketers as he walked along the line. “You deserve the significant raise you need," Biden said through a bullhorn while wearing a union baseball cap after arriving at a General Motors parts distribution warehouse west of Detroit. He encouraged them to continue fighting for better wages despite concerns that a prolonged strike could slow the economy. He said “yes” when asked if UAW members deserved a 40% raise, one of the demands that the union has made.“No deal, no wheels!” workers chanted as Biden arrived. “No pay, no parts!”He was joined by UAW President Shawn Fain, who rode with him in the presidential limousine to the picket line. “Thank you, Mr. Pre...

Not by a long shot.In this moment, though, in need a big play to at least try to get back in the game, Denver and quarterback Russell Wilson turned to rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr.Wilson forced a ball into double coverage toward Mims, who ran a double move toward the goal line. It got knocked down, but Mims has made more than one contested catch so far already in his young career. He did it on a 38-yard post route earlier in the game, in fact. The next play, head coach Sean Payton ratcheted down the degree of difficulty. Mims and Jerry Jeudy ran crossing routes past each other and Mi...
