(AP) — Sebastian Aho and Brent Burns each had a goal and an assist, Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 23 shots for his fifth career shutout and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-0 on Saturday night.Teuvo Teravainen and Stefan Noesen also scored as Carolina won for the sixth time in eight games.Jonas Johansson, who shut out the Hurricanes in their first meeting, made 28 saves for the Lightning. Tampa Bay played without forward Nikita Kucherov, who entered the game second in the NHL with 23 points, because of illness. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has been hospitalized with undisclosed injuries after being struck by a vehicle Saturday, the team said.The 27-year-old Oubre is in stable condition and the team says he will miss a significant amount of playing time, but not the rest of the season. The Sixers said Oubre was walking near his residence in downtown Philadelphia when he struck. No additional information about his injuries or about the accident was immediately available. Oubre is in his first season with the 76ers and has averaged 16.8 points in the first eight games. He was the 15th overall pick of the 2015 draft and has played with four other teams. SAN DIEGO (AP) — World Cup winner Esther González scored the go-ahead goal on a header in first-half stoppage time and Gotham FC survived a wild finish to beat OL Reign 2-1 on Saturday night in a National Women’s Soccer League championship match that was in its first few minutes when Megan Rapinoe hobbled off the pitch in a heartbreaking end to her career.Following a VAR review in stoppage time, Gotham goalie Mandy Haught was issued a red card for denial of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and sent off, giving the Reign a chance to tie it. It said the decision was “made in accordance with the university’s commitment to upholding the values and standards expected of its staff.”Assistant coach Armelia Horton will run the team during Popovec-Goss’ suspension, beginning with Sunday’s game against Central Michigan.
