For the second year in a row, the nonprofit said the demand for financial assistance exceeded the budget of the program. According to a news release from Foundation Communities, the program helped more than 200 families at a cost of $180,000, which is $30,000 more than its budget. What's causing the high demand? Police looking for man accused of hitting person, threatening them with gun AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is looking for a man accused of aggravated assault in early December.According to APD, the man forced the victim behind a dumpster and stuck them multiple times before threatening them with a gun. The suspect then fled on foot before officers arrived. Police said this happened around 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 7 at 2407 South Congress Avenue, which is the address of a shopping center in South Congress Square, at the corner of Congress and East Oltorf Street. Upon arrival, both cars were found with significant damage and both drivers were trapped inside their respective vehicles.
