After missing the past month — 13 games in total — star forward Kirill Kaprizov will return to the the Wild lineup on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues. It comes at a perfect time with the Wild having dropped three straight games for the first time since the bye week a couple of months ago.“Very excited to be back,” Kaprizov said. “It’s been a while.”No kidding. As difficult as it was for the Wild to be patient with their best player not on the ice, Kaprizov said it was even tougher on him. He estimated that before this recent stretch the longest he’s ever had to sit out with an injury is a week and a half at most.“It wasn’t very fun at all,” Kaprizov said, adding that he spent most of his time “chilling” as he waited to be cleared. “Very much looking forward to getting back.”Looking back on the March 8 win over the Winnipeg Jets and the play that caused the injury in the first place, Kaprizov does...A deeper look at Minnesota United’s unbeaten start to 2023

The start to Minnesota United’s 2023 season has been good, and in some cases really good, but not great. The Loons (3-0-2) are off to their best start in the franchise’s MLS era, so any critique might be considered nit-picky. But a look at the underlying numbers and context show a team near some narrow margins — yet one often coming out ahead.Minnesota has averaged 2.2 points per match, a blistering early pace that puts them fourth in the Western Conference and in line for a home match in the MLS Cup Playoffs. That is the club’s primary objective this regular season. In the season opener in February, MNUFC avenged its 2022 first-round playoff exit to FC Dallas with a 1-0 voctory in Texas. To begin April, they topped previously perfect expansion side St. Louis City 1-0 in Missouri last Saturday.Minnesota’s middle three opponents — the New York Red Bulls, Colorado Rapids and Vancouver Whitecaps — have a combined two wins in 18 total matches. In March, the Loons gave up two leads a...Supporters of Twin Cities-to-Duluth rail link still hoping for approval from Legislature

A long-sought passenger rail line between Duluth and the Twin Cities still appears closer than ever to reality this year, with both the House and Senate versions of a transportation budget including funding for the service.Advocates of the Northern Lights Express rail project, who have been pushing for years to restore Twin Cities-Duluth passenger rail travel, still say this year is the closest the state has come to funding the line. Estimates have placed the price tag of NLX at $450 million — but Minnesota would only have to chip in 20% of the total, as the federal government would pay $4 for every $1 from the state. As Democratic-Farmer-Labor majority lawmakers prepare their major budget bills, both the Senate and House transportation packages, or omnibus bills, contain funding for NLX. But there’s a key difference between the proposals: The House version calls for $194 million to get the line started, whereas the Senate version calls for $50 million. The amount in the current Senat...$50K reward offered in search for missing Winona woman

In fact, 51% of people who earn more than $100,000 reported living paycheck to paycheck in December 2022 – 9 percentage points higher than a year earlier – according to a recent survey from PYMNTS and LendingClub. To see how much $100,000 is actually worth in different parts of the country, SmartAsset compared the after-tax income in 76 of the largest U.S. cities and then adjusted those figures for the cost of living in each place.
